Cardio Blast

The class takes place in the shallow end of the pool. It is a high-intensity, full-body workout designed to increase the heart rate and add resistance training to sculpt the arms, glutes and core.

Lifeguard Courses Available

We will have lifeguard trainings held in April, June, August, and September of 2025 with official dates pending. For questions, please contact the Ella Redkey Pool at (541) 273-1477 and ask to speak with the Pool Supervisor or Pool Manager.

The Lifeguarding Course is approximately 30 hours long.

Participants must attend all sessions listed below to successfully complete the Lifeguard Certification Course.

PREREQUISITES:

• Must be 15 years of age or older by the end of the course.
• Swim 150 yards, tread with head above the surface for 2 minutes using their legs only (no hands), and swim 50 yards after treading. This sequence must be done in order and without breaks/stopping frequently. All swims must be done using front crawl (freestyle), breaststroke or combination of both
• Swim 20 yards using front crawl or breaststroke, surface dive to 7-10 feet and retrieve a 10-pound object, surface and swim 20 yards back to the starting point holding the object with both hands and exit the water in 1 minute 40 seconds or less.  NO GOOGLES can be used during this portion of training.

Failure to meet the prerequisites or attend all sessions will result in ineligibility for course completion, certification, and refund. There may be opportunity to move enrollment or retake the course but is subject to class availability and management. We highly encourage participants to practice their skills during our lap swim hours and prior to the course starting.

The Masters program appropriately challenges beginner to competitive swimmers by improving stroke technique. Whether you are a triathlete, open-water swimmer, or just want to have fun, Masters is for you! This workout class will  you develop a healthier lifestyle, build friendships and grow by meeting your personal fitness goals.
