About Abbie

Abbie McClung, a lifelong resident of Klamath County, graduated from Chiloquin High School. Prior to earning her MBA from Southern Oregon University in 2016, Abbie received a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies, Minor in Psychology, and Dispute Resolution Certificate from Oregon Tech in 2004. Currently the Chief Public Relations Officer at a local non-profit agency, Abbie has over 20 years of experience in organizational leadership, corporate communications, and small business management. in addition to a full-time job, she co-owns a small business with her husband, Jason McClung, and has two sons attending Klamath Falls City Schools.

A relationship-focused leader, Abbie's vision for City Council is to support local initiatives that improve the social and economic health of every citizen in Klamath Falls and foster a thriving business community. She believes in common ground, authentic leadership and a good sense of humor. In her free time, you will find her relaxing with her dogs and family or advocating for children, adults and families navigating the challenges of Type 1 Diabetes.
